In the last few years, several businesses have begun tapping into a hard-working, reliable, and previously overlooked resource in Greater Cincinnati – people burdened by a past criminal infraction looking for an opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Approximately 2,500 people return to Hamilton County each year from some form of incarceration. Many of these people have the skills and determination to contribute to the workplace every day. They have families that need them to survive. What don’t they have? An opportunity to prove themselves. Many employers will not consider any applicant with a felony or period of incarceration on their record.
